Prior to SHU: Graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy, New York where she played three sports...A four-year member of the basketball team under Head Coach Christine LaBombard...Led her team to the Big Ten Conference High School Girl's Basketball championship all four years and was named to the league's Exceptional Senior First Team...Her team was a two-time NYSPHAA Section II Class AA Champion in 2002 and 2006...She was named to the Times Union All-Star team her junior and senior seasons and The Record All-City First Team in 2004-05 and 2005-06 and Second Team in 2003-04...A New York All-State selection (10th team) in 2006 and New York State Section II All-Star in 2003-04...She earned a spot the NY State Lottery, Channel 13 NBC affiliate All-Star Team as a junior and senior...Played in the New York State Empire Games in 2003, 2004 and 2005...She led her team to the 2005 Bronze Medal with a game and career high 22 points...Also a standout on the track where she helped her team to the Big Ten Conference High School Championship in 2006, the first title in school history...She was a part of the 1600-meter, school record setting, gold medal team and took a bronze in the 400-meters at the championship meet...In the classroom, Gibson won the Martin Luther King Poetry Award.
