Tanya Cross enters her second season as a member of Ed Swanson's staff, following a distinguished playing career at Rider University. Her duties include film exchange, junior mailings, coaching the guard position and on-court assistance.

The Toronto, Canada native is one of only three Rider players to rank in the top-10 in career points, rebounds and assists. Cross scored 1,103 points as a member of the Bronc's frontcourt becoming only the 12th-member of the 1,000-point club. She grabbed 492 rebounds and dished out 294 assists in her four-year career and was named to the All-Metro Athletic Conference third team in 2001-02. Cross was highly respected by her teammates and coaches, earning team MVP her junior and senior seasons and top-defensive player honors all four years at Rider.

Cross graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in May 2002. She is currently working on her master's degree in information technology at Sacred Heart.
