Tallahassee, Fla. – The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team (1-2), questing for their first road win, heads south for a pair of games against Florida opponents. Florida A&M (0-4) play host to the Pioneers first, Wednesday, November 22 at Al Lawson Center before Sacred Heart pays a visit to Florida State, Friday, November 24.

Hagood Shows Promise as Harvard Proves Too Much for Short-Handed Pioneers
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – First-year Adrianne Hagood showed promise in her career debut netting a game-high 20 points as Harvard (2-2) proved too much for the short-handed Sacred Heart women’s basketball team (1-2). The Crimson would run with a 70-62 win on their home-floor Saturday afternoon at Lavietes Pavilion.

Sacred Heart Travels to Harvard for Saturday Matinee
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team (1-1) looks for its first road win Saturday, November 18 as Harvard (1-2) plays host for the 2:00 pm tip-off at Lavietes Pavilion. Most recently, both teams picked up wins on their respective home courts for the first time this season as SHU won in thrilling fashion over Manhattan and Harvard collected a win over Siena.

Pioneers Collect Their First Win of the Season Rallying Past Manhattan, 65-61
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team gutted out a 65-61 win over the visiting Manhattan Jaspers, Wednesday evening inside of the William H. Pitt Center. Both teams traded six-point leads as the Pioneers credited their advantage in the third and the Jaspers saw their cushion come to fruition in the fourth. However, the Pioneers remained relentless registering a 7-2 run to deadlock play at 61-61 apiece. With just 70 ticks pictured on the clock, Sacred Heart eliminated any more scoring of the visitors while tacking on four more of its own to settle the final.

Sacred Heart Looks to Even Its History with Manhattan at Wednesday’s Home Opener
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart looks for early season redemption as Manhattan comes to town, after falling in its season opener to Monmouth last Friday. Taking Coach Bike Court for the first time this season, the Pioneers can even their budding record and start perfectly on their home floor. Manhattan, who also looks for its first win of the season previously falling to Stony Brook, will look to defeat the Pioneers inside of the William H. Pitt Center for the first time.

Women’s Basketball Heads to Monmouth for its 2017-18 Season Launch
WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team makes a trip to West Long Branch, NJ for the launch of another season Friday, November 10, battling old league rival, Monmouth. The Hawks too commence their season with Friday’s tip-off. This marks the second time the two teams will face each other in five years since Monmouth moved from the Northeast Conference to the MAAC prior to the 2013-14 season.
