FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Sacred Heart freshman Ryan Murdoch (Niantic, CT) was named Northeast Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week announced by the league office.

Murdoch ran a personal best for Van Cortlandt Park as last weekend's Fordham Ram Invitational. He led the Pioneers to ther highest team finish ever in the Fordham race and first win ever over the Rams. He came in right behind teammate David Jones, in 12th overall, running a time of 28:41.
