Fairfield, CT - Sarah Tencza (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) posted a time of 19:09.57 and finished fourth at the Fairfield Invitational held this weekend. The race served as a tune-up for SHU harriers in preparation for the 14th Annual Monmouth University Invitational.

Cristina Soares (Naugatuck, CT/Naugatuck) also ran in the women's race clocking in with a time of 22:58.58. Michael Bellio (Fitchburg, MA/Fitchburg) and Jared Scata (Lebanon, CT/Lyman Memorial) ran for the Pioneers on the men's side and both crossed the line in 30:50.

The entire Pioneer squad returns to action September 19 in Holmdel, NJ for the Monmouth Invitational, race time is scheduled for 4:15 pm.
