Sacred Heart Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach Christian Morrison announced the hiring of Megan Patterson as the new Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach in August of 2015. In addition to assisting with the cross country team, and focusing on the middle distance and distance group in track, she will also support with administrative matters.
Patterson joins Sacred Heart after most recently serving as the Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach for Manhattanville College, where she led the program to its first ever women's conference championship.
Patterson also has coaching experience at SUNY Maritme College and School of the Holy Child. At SUNY, she was Assistant Cross Country Coach for one year before being promoted to Head Coach, a position she also held for one year before moving to Manhattanville.
Patterson had a decorated collegiate career at Fairleigh Dickinson, where she was a three-time Northeast Conference Champion in the 800 Meters, as well as a ten-time All-NEC performer, including a sixth place finish at the 2010 Cross Country Conference Championships. She was named the FDU Female Student Athlete of the Year in 2010-11, and was a four-time MVP of the Cross Country and Track & Field team.
