SHU Competes At Northeast Region Cross Country Championships

Buffalo, NY.- The Sacred Heart cross country men finished 24th of 37 complete teams at the Northeast Region Cross Country Championships, improving on their 2016 finish of 26th. Sophomore Gilmar Barrios crossed the line first for the Pios. His 97th place finish is 84 places higher than his 2016 Regional performance.

Right behind Barrios was Trevor Guerrera in 100th place. Joshua Hadity was the next Sacred Heart finisher in 132nd, then Timothy Loehner in 137th and Dane Krchnavy in 179th to round out the top five.

Hadity's time of 34:37 was a new 10k personal best, despite the slow and muddy conditions of the course on Friday. He also improved on his place significantly, after finishing 209th in 2016.

SHU are back in action Friday Nov. 18 at the Indoor Cross Country Championship at Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY at 9:30 am
