Sacred Heart Cross Country Teams Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams
The Sacred Heart men's and women's cross country teams were named one of U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams for the 2009 season. The Pioneer men posted a team grade point average of 3.27 while the women's team sported a 3.45.

Pioneers Run at ECAC / IC4A Championships
BRONX, N.Y. - The Sacred Heart cross country teams wrapped-up the 2009 season running at the ECAC / IC4A Championships. The Pioneer women finished fifth overall while the men took 15th, both running in the University Division race. Sacred Heart's Kimberly DeLoreto (Hillsdale, NJ) wrapped up a stellar fall with a third place finish to earn All-East honors.

Pioneers Run at NCAA Regional Championship
Boston, Mass. (November 14, 2009) - The Sacred Heart cross country teams were back in action Saturday afternoon running at the NCAA Regional Championship at Franklin Park in Boston Saturday afternoon. The SHU women finished 23rd overall and the men were 30th.

Kimberly DeLoreto Wins NEC Race; Pioneer Women 2nd, Men 4th
HAMDEN, Conn. (October 31, 2009) - Junior Kimberly DeLoreto (Hillsdale, NJ) took home the individual title at the 2009 Northeast Conference Championship, turning in the race's lone sub-18 minute time to nab Outstanding Peformer Honors. The Pioneer women finished second with a total of 71 points while the SHU men fourth with 98 total points.

Pioneers Run at UAlbany Invitational
ALBANY, N.Y. (October 17, 2009) - The Sacred Heart women's cross country team took third and the men took fourth place at the running of the 43rd Annual UAlbany Invitational Saturday afternoon. Pioneer junior Kimberly DeLoreto (Hillsdale, NJ) finished second in a field of 193 runners to earn her fourth-straight top-five finish on the season.
