NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Senior Payam Zarrinpour (Shiraz, Iran) continued his strong 2006-07 campaign with a win by fall at heavyweight, but it wasn't enough as the Pioneer wrestling team dropped a 25-15 decision at Rutgers University Wednesday night.

After being named CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday, freshman Paul Galipeau made it four straight wins with a 6-3 decision over Dan Hilt.

Chris Davis won a 12-5 decision over Jack Barrett at 149 pounds that had the Pioneers with 9-6. Rutgers won the next three bouts, however, to boost their lead to 22-6.

Andrew Silber got another Pioneer win at 185 pounds with a 3-1 decision to make it 22-9, but Lamar Brown won a close 3-2 decision over Kevin Fox at 197 to clinch the Rutgers win.

Zarrinpour finished the night by pinning Mike D'Amico in 2:42.

The loss dropped the Pioneers to 5-8 overall in dual meets. They will next wrestle at Rider on February 18 at 3:00 p.m.
