FAIRFIELD, CT - The Sacred Heart wrestling team participated in the Millersville University tournament this past weekend and three Pioneer wrestlers came away placewinners. Sophomore Pat Feeley had a perfect day to win at 133 pounds, while Cory Dunn finished third in the same weight class. Freshman Brandon Lapp finished second at 197.

Pat Feeley, defeated Chris Clarke of American 4-2, Mike Egan of Penn State 5-1, and Charles Golden of Maryland in the finals 3-2. Cory Dunn, won over Nick Kilstein of American 7-2, lost a tough close bout to Charles Golden of Maryland in the semis in one of the best bouts of the day 6-5 in the semis. Dunn then won two straight bouts to take 3rd over Clarke and Egan.

Lapp took second after dropping his finals bout to D.J Bruce of Virginia Tech 14-6. Lapp defeated Justin Hepburn of Penn State and Ray Bennett of Millersville University to reach the final.

"Our young guys showed up to wrestled and proved they can wrestle with anyone in the country," said head coach Casey Brewster. "They are learning one match at a time, and that is important at this level of competition."
