Fairfield, CT - Sophomore Kalani Efstathiou (Beaverton, OR) has been named to the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association All-Academic team. Efstathiou, a math major, had the highest GPA of any player in the league.

To be eligible for the All-Academic squad, a student-athlete must not be a freshman, must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and must have participated in at least 60% of the games played by their team.

The Pioneers best all-around player, Efstathiou led all SHU players with 384 kills on the season, an average of more than four per game. He also was a force on the defensive side of the ball with 157 digs, second most on the team. He was second on the team in service aces with 29.
