Fairfield, CT - Sophomore Kalani Efstathiou (Beaverton, OR) has been named to the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association All-Academic team. Efstathiou, a math major, had the highest GPA of any player in the league.

To be eligible for the All-Academic squad, a student-athlete must not be a freshman, must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and must have participated in at least 60% of the games played by their team.

The Pioneers best all-around player, Efstathiou led all SHU players with 201 kills on the season, an average of more than three per game. He also led the team on the defensive side of the ball with 102 digs. He was second on the team in service aces (15) and third in blocks (29).
