HOBOKEN, NJ - Sophomore Mike Komlanc (St. Croix, VI) had ten kills and ten total blocks, while junior Roger Parent (Burlington, CT) recorded 13 kills with just one error to lead the Sacred Heart men's volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-32, 30-22, 30-20) win at Stevens Tech Monday night.
The win was the fourth straight for the Pioneers and lifted them to 7-5 this season. Stevens drops to 8-7.
SHU trailed the first game 28-24 before the Pioneers won five straight points off the serve of Craig Harvey (Beverly, MA) to take a 29-28 lead. Stevens tied it on a John Landis kill, but committed a service error to give the Pioneers a 30-29 lead. SHU would win the set 32-30 on a block by Parent and Jon Mercado (Corona, NY).
The Pioneers are back in action Wednesday night at home at 7:00 against Ramapo.
