NEW YORK, NY - Sophomore Mike Komlanc led a Sacred Heart team that hit an impressive .398 with 12 kills, while senior Kalani Efstathiou chipped in 11 to lead the Pioneers to a 3-0 (30-18, 30-19, 30-28) win at New York University Wednesday night. Over his last two matches, Komlanc has recorded 28 kills and remarkably made just one attack error.

The win was the second straight for the Pioneers and lifted them to 2-0 in the EIVA Hay Division and 5-5 overall. NYU dropped to 1-7 and 0-3.

Roger Parent also had a strong game for SHU with ten kills and led the Pioneer defense with eight digs. Tim Sadowski had five kills, while leading the team with 41 assists.

Pattrick Dodd led NYU with 12 kills and six digs.

The Pioneers are back in action on Friday night at NJIT at 7 pm.
