Final Stats

New York, NY - Freshman outside hitters Wojciech Jakubiak and Pablo Oliveira each had 14 kills as Hunter posted a a 3-1 (30-17, 30-26, 33-35, 30-25) victory over Sacred Heart University in a non-conference men's volleyball match on Saturday afternoon at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Sacred Heart sophomore outside hitter Kalani Efstathiou (Beaverton, OR) led the match with 16 kills, while fellow sophomore hitter Scott Grandpre (East Greewich, RI) added 12 kills and eight digs. Freshman setter Roger Parent (Burlington, CT) contributed 43 assists.

Sophomore setter Zacarias Ripoll had a solid match for the Hawks, recording 34 assists, 12 kills and eight digs, while sophomore middle blocker Ivan Michel finished out the day with six kills, four solo blocks and three assisted. Jakubiak also had a game high seven aces and Oliveira had ten digs.

The Pioneers are back in action Saturday February 23 when they host Mercyhurst. The match is set for a 10:00 am start at the Pitt Center.
