NEW HAVEN, CT - Craig Harvey recorded a game-high 13 kills, hitting a crisp .478, while Mike Komlanc had ten kills and 11 total blocks to lead the Sacred Heart men's volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-24, 30-20, 30-16) win at the University of New Haven Friday night.
The win lifted the Pioneers to 3-4, while New Haven fell to 0-2.
The Chargers trailed by just a point at 17-16 in the opening game before Sacred Heart went on a 5-1 run to open up a 22-17 lead that led to a 30-24 set win. Nick Hunt led the Pioneers in the frame with five kills.
The Pioneers took the second set 30-20 thanks to Harvey's five kills that he racked up without making an attack error. SHU cruised in the third set 30-16, getting six kills from Komlanc.
SHU will be back in action next Wednesday at Stevens Tech in New Jersey at 6:00 pm.
