The semifinals will take place on Friday, June 13th at approximately 9:25 pm eastern time and will be televised live on CSTV. The finals are scheduled for Saturday afternoon and will be shown live on CBS from 2:00 to 4:00 pm eastern time. The event is being held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, IA
Dixon's top seasonal time of 45.67, which won him the NCAA regional crown, ranked tenth amongst entrants coming in as the seasoned sprinter has All-American honors within his reach. As the first SHU athlete to compete at the NCAA meet, Dixon already has All-American honors on his resume, finishing seventh in the 200 meters at the 2007 NCAA Championships with a time of 20.94.
He finished ninth in the 200-meter dash at the 2008 NCAA Indoor Championship this past March in Fayetteville, AK after entering with a top-three seed mark. The five-time NEC MVP (indoor and outdoor) ranked amongst the nation's top 50 in the 200-meter dash this season, and he just missed an automatic bid to nationals with an eighth-place showing at the regional meet.
