Sacred Heart senior Arman Dixon (Beacon, NY) was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Northeast Region Athlete of the Year for the outdoor track season. Assistant Coach Kenny Franklin took home the USTFCCCA Regional Assistant Coach award as well. The duo sweep the USTFCCCA awards this season after winning the indoor season's awards as well.

Dixon won the 400 meters at the NCAA East Regional in a lifetime-best 45.67. He won the 200 meters and long jump at the New England Championships and earlier contributed 43.5 points to Sacred Heart's team title at the Northeast Conference Championships. As the assistant in charge of Sacred Heart's sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers, Franklin helped deliver the program's first Northeast Conference outdoor championship this spring. He is in his fifth season at Sacred Heart.

During the indoor season, Dixon won three events - the long jump, 60 meters and 400 meters - in leading the Pioneers to their first-ever Northeast Conference men's indoor championship. He was named the NEC's outstanding indoor performer for the third time. He also finished second in the 200 and third in the triple jump.
