Sacred Heart senior Arman Dixon (Beacon, NY) was named this week's Northeast Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Dixon, the reigning NEC 60-meter and 200-meter champion, showed this past weekend that he will be a serious contender for the 400-meter crown at the quickly-approaching NEC Championships. Dixon won the 400m at the Yale Intercollegiate Invitational by clocking in at 48.26, a time that beats the IC4A qualifying standard by nearly a full second. The Sacred Heart senior's success extended beyond the track and into the long jump pit where he landed an IC4A-qualifying mark of 7.35m, moving up to second of the NEC's Performance List.
