Pioneer Track Teams and Athletes earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

The Sacred Heart men's and women's track and field teams were both honored last week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic Teams with four individuals earning spots on the Division I All-Academic Team. For the women, seniors Marsha Locke and Melissa Kostan and sophomore Brittany Dexter and freshman Andrew Houghtalen for the men were awarded All-Academic honors. [+]

TrackDixon Advances to Quarterfinals in 200m at Olympic TrialsArman Dixon (Beacon, NY) made Sacred Heart history earlier this week becoming the school's first athlete to compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials by running in the 400 meters. Dixon kept his magical year going Friday afternoon, advancing to the quarterfinals of the 200 meters out in Eugene, Oregon. [+] |
