Kilis Qualifies for NCAA East Regional

Sacred Heart's Jamie Kilis (Marlbourough, CT) has qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championship in the hammer throw after competing in the ECAC Championships this weekend. Kilis finished seventh in the event as her toss of 54.54 meters met the standard to advance into the NCAA Regional. This year's regional will be held May 29-30 in Amherst, MA. [+]

Sacred Heart University Wins Back-to-Back NEC Commissioner's Cups

For the second-consecutive year, the Sacred Heart University athletic program has been awarded the Northeast Conference Commissioner's Cup winning the 2008-09 title on the strength of five league championships this season. In addition, SHU won the NEC Women's Cup Championship for the third-straight year and for the first time in program history won the NEC Men's Cup Championship as well. [+]

Pioneer Men 8th at New England's; Women 15th

The Sacred Heart men's track & field team took home an eighth place finish at this weekends New England Championship while the women finished 15th. The Pioneers collected 34 points at the event led by a second place finish by the 4x800 meter relay team. [+]

Women's Track Finishes Second at NEC Championship; Men Third

The Sacred Heart track teams completed competition in the 2009 NEC Championship meet as the women took second and the men earned third place. Brittany Dexter successfully defended her high jump crown and became a three time champion in the event leaping 1.64 meters. The men's team had two individual champions as Thomas Hyatt won the pole vault and Daniel Koehler was victorious in the 3000 meter steeplechase. [+]
