BOSTON – Junior Gregory Hazell (Airmont, N.Y.) of the Sacred Heart men's track and field team finished fifth in the triple jump at this weekend's IC4A Championships, held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Hazell had a jump of 48'2.75" in the event, scoring the Pioneers' lone points of the meet. Drayke Jackson (East Northport, N.Y.) just missed out on a point in the men's heptathlon, finishing ninth with 4,775 points. Jackson had fifth-place showings in both the high jump and pole vault. Jordan Dudley (Stratford, Conn.) was 11th in the heptathlon with 4,463 points, finishing fifth in the 60m dash and 1000m run.
In the 3000m, Sean Ferguson (Smithtown, N.Y.) placed sixth in his heat with a time of 8:11.27. Graduate Student Marc Troiani (Valhalla, N.Y.) competed in both the shot put and weight throw. He had the top throw in his flight of the shot put at 53'1", finishing 12th overall.
