SHU Men’s Track Earns Pair of Top-10 Finishes At Terrier Invitational
BOSTON – The Sacred Heart men's track and field team had a pair of top-10 finishes Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Inviational at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Senior Brandon Hutchinson (Bay Shore, N.Y.) had the Pioneers' top finish of the day, placing third in the long jump with a leap of 6.77m. Freshman Joshua Beloff (Marblehead, Mass.) finished 13th in the same event with a jump of 6.49m. Gregory Hazell (Airmont, N.Y.) finished eighth in the triple jump with a jump of 13.97m, the seventh-best leap in the NEC this season. Sophomore Sean Ferguson (Smithtown, N.Y.) finished second in his heat of the 3000m, running a time of 8:18.27. It was his fastest 3000m of the season and the second-fastest time in the NEC this year.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the University of Rhode Island Coaches Invitational.
