Men's Tennis Edged by Fairfield 4-3

FAIRFIELD, Conn.-The Sacred Heart University Men's Tennis team was edge by local rival Fairfield this afternoon by a final score of 4-3. The Pioneers will return back to invite play when they head up to Army West Point to compete in the Army Mock Duals. 

 

Freshman Kevin Chao and Ayman Khan each had success in singles for the Pioneers as they Chao defeated Allan Magid 2-6, 6-2, 6-5 while Khan out matched Arnais Sabonis 6-2, 6-1. Junior Seiji Hosokawa also won his singles match against Brad Olban 6-4, 6-4 to help earn SHU three wins in singles competition. The duo of Chao and Francisco Del Valle was the lone doubles team to earn a victory as they defeated the pairing of Magid/Sabonis 6-4.
