SHU Tennis Dropped at Fairleigh Dickinson 5-2

Teaneck, NJ – The Sacred Heart men's tennis team got swept in doubles and lost four singles matches as the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights took home a 5-2 win Saturday afternoon at the FDU Tennis Center. The Pioneers fall to 3-7 on the season, 1-2 in the Northeast Conference.

The Pioneers two singles wins came in three sets, as Kevin Budrawich defeated Arnaud Valentin in the match of the day at number four singles. After splitting two tiebreakers, Budrawich came through with a 14-12 win in the deciding super tiebreaker. The Pioneers other win came at number six singles, with freshman Anthony Savio (Bangalore, India) beating Diogo Garnel, 5-7, 6-4, 10-8.

The Pioneers will be back in action on Wednesday when Hofstra comes to town.
