FAIRFIELD, Conn – The Sacred Heart men's tennis team dropped the doubles point and four of six singles, as the Robert Morris Colonials defeated the Pioneers 5-2 Friday afternoon at the Sacred Heart tennis courts. The Pioneers drop to 1-1 in the NEC this season.
Sophomore Matt Dean (Newington, CT) and freshman Anthony Savio (Bangalore, India) earned singles wins, while the duo of Luka Bagi (Branford, CT) and Savio got the Pioneers lone doubles win. Kevin Budrawich (New Canaan, CT) and Justin Pagan (Flushing, NY) both lost tough three-setters at number two and number four singles respectively.
The Pioneers are back in action tomorrow afternoon at Fairleigh Dickinson.
