Pioneers Finish Trip with 6-3 Win over Hawaii Hilo

WAIPAU, HI – The Sacred Heart men's tennis team won two doubles matches and four singles matches on their way to a 6-3* win over the University of Hawaii Hilo Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers improve to 3-4 on the season.

The Pioneers were able to get things rolling on the doubles side, with the duos of Kevin Budrawich (New Canaan, CT) and Justin Pagan (Flushing, NY) and Luka Bagi (Branford, CT) and Anthony Savio (Bangalore, India) both picking up victories.

Number one singles player, Brian Power (Pelham, NY), kept the momentum rolling with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Tom Greer Smith. At number two, Pagan made it two victories on the day with a 6-3, 7-6 win over Kainoa Rosa. Savio and Bagi also won their second matches of the day with three set wins at number four and number five singles.

The Pioneers hit the road once again this upcoming weekend to take on Boston College on Saturday afternoon.
