  • SHU Tennis Falls 4-0 to Bryant in NEC Semi-Finals

    WEST WINDSOR, NJ – The Sacred Heart men’s tennis team saw its season come to end Friday morning with a 4-0 setback to the Bryant Bulldogs in the semi-finals of the NEC Tournament at the Mercer County Tennis Center. The Pioneers finish the season with a record of 7-14.
  • Pioneers Defeat Robert Morris 4-1 in NEC Quarterfinals

    WEST WINDSOR, NJ – The Sacred Heart men’s tennis team swept the doubles point and won three singles matches to defeat the Robert Morris Colonials, 4-1, in the quarterfinals of the NEC Championships Thursday afternoon at the Mercer County Tennis Center. SHU will take on the top seeded, Bryant Bulldogs, in the semi-finals tomorrow morning.
  • Men's Tennis Seeded Fifth in NEC Championship

    FAIRFIELD, Conn – The Sacred Heart men’s tennis team earned a five seed in the upcoming Northeast Conference to be held Thursday through Saturday at the Mercer County Tennis Center. SHU will take on fifth seeded Robert Morris at 11:30 am on Thursday morning with the winner taking on the winner of top seeded Bryant and the number eight seed, St. Francis Brooklyn.
  • SHU Tennis Closes out Regular Season with 4-3 Loss at Quinnipiac

    HAMDEN, Conn – The Sacred Heart men’s tennis team earned the doubles point but only two of six singles matches, losing to the Quinnipiac Bobcats 4-3 Monday afternoon at the QU Tennis Courts. The Pioneers close out the regular season with a 6-13 record.
  • SHU Tennis Splits Matches with Fordham and Wagner

    The Sacred Heart men’s tennis team split two matches Friday against NEC foe Wagner and the Fordham Rams. The Pioneers defeated the Wagner Seahawsk 5-1 Friday morning before falling to the Fordham Rams 4-3 in the afternoon.

With the win, the Pioneers snap a four game losing streak and climb to 2-2 in the Northeast Conference this season.

  • Former Pioneer Kirill Kasyanov Pursuing Professional Tennis Dream

    FAIRFIELD, Conn - Two-time Northeast Conference Player of the Year Kirill Kasyanov (Eastchester, NY) recently finished a successful run on the ATP Professional Tennis Tour. Kasyanov, class of 2011, played number one singles for four years at Sacred Heart, recording 100 singles wins. Kasyanov led the Pioneers to two NCAA appearances (2009, 2011) against Virginia and Texas.
