The Sacred Heart men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2009 season. The Pioneers will make nine appearances on their home turf at Campus Field as they meet some of the top teams in the region as well as their traditional Northeast Conference rivals. [+]

SoccerJones, Kenworthy Named NEC Scholar-AthletesSeniors John Kenworthy (Gloversville, NY) of the men's cross country team and Matt Jones (Stoke-on-Trent, England) of the men's soccer team have been named Northeast Conference Scholar Athletes in their respective sports. The awards were announced by the league office Thursday, along with the NEC fall honor roll, which included 75 Sacred Heart student-athletes. [+] |

SoccerJoe McGuigan Selected To Connecticut Soccer Hall of FameFormer Sacred Heart men's soccer head coach Joe McGuian has been selected for induction into the Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame. McGuigan led the Sacred Heart University men's soccer program for 20 years before retiring at the end of the 2004 season. He joins current SHU coach Joe Barroso being inducted this year. [+] |
