Final Stats

West Long Branch, NJ - Daniel Moir scored two goals in a 12 minute span in the second half and Patrick Fleming capped the scoring three minutes later as Saint Francis scored three second half goals to vault past Sacred Heart, 3-0, in the Northeast Conference semifinals Friday on The Great Lawn.

After a scorless first half, Moir got the Red Flash on the board at the 46:49 mark. Jarron Brooks lobbed the ball into the box where Moir was able to collect it and fire it past Pioneer goaltender Matt Jones (Stoke-on-Trent, England) to give Saint Francis the only goal it would need.

Moir made it 2-0 in the 59th minute with a shot from the left side of the box. Just three minutes later, Fleming iced the game for the Red Flash with a chip shot from 15 yards out.

The Pioneers had chances to score, tallying 11 shots, the same number as the Red Flash. Sophomores Jesper Fredriksson (Gothenburg, Sweden) and Svetozar Gladic (Novi Sad, Serbia) and junior Jonatan Allback (Gothenburg, Sweden) each tallied two shots. However, Red Flash goaltender Brad Williams made five saves to perserve the shutout. Jones stopped four shots for the Pioneers.

Sacred Heart finishes the season with a 10-8-1 record, the most wins in the program's Division I history.
