Final Stats

New Haven, CT - Junior Craig Henderson and freshman Andrew Olsen each scored goals and Sean Milligan made three saves in goal as Dartmouth beat Sacred Heart, 2-0, in the first round of the Yale men's soccer tournament Friday afternoon.

Dartmouth got on the board in the 21st minute when Henderson sent the ball over the head of SHU goaltender Matt Jones (Stoke-on-Trent, England) for his second goal of the season.

The Big Green took a 1-0 lead into halftime having out-shot the Pioneers, 9-2.

The Green got an insurance goal at 60:24 when junior Matt Carroll sent a cross into the box where freshman Andrew Olsen collected the ball and hit the goal in the right corner. It was the first goal of Olsen's collegiate career.

Jones made five saves in goal to keep the Pioneers within striking distance.

Sacred Heart is back in action Sunday when they face Yale. Game time is 2:30 pm.
