FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Former Sacred Heart men's soccer player Ronaldo Vieira has signed a contract with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League.
Vieira played two seasons at Sacred Heart after transferring from Framingham State. This past season, Vieira had a goal and three assists in 15 matches. His goal was the game-winner in the Pioneers' 2-1 win over NJIT. In 32 career games, Vieira had two goals and eight assists. Vieira earned his contract with the Strikers after being discovered at an open tryout and being invited for another invitation-only tryout for further evaluation.
