Two Men's Lacrosse Players Named All-CAA

RICHMOND, VA - Sophomore midfielder Ben Giamichael (Cortland, NY) was named to the Colonial Athletic Association First Team today, while senior defenseman Brandon Godbout (Ballston Lake, NY) was selected to the Second Team. Giamichael's selection marked the first time a Pioneer had been named First Team All-CAA in the three years SHU has been a league member.

Giamichael was the second leading scorer for the Pioneers this season with 19 goals and eight assists. His goal with 1:42 left in regulation in the final game of the season against the Air Force Academy sent the game into overtime, allowing the Pioneers to win on a Jorge Bravo goal with :57 left in OT.

Godbout, who closed out his four-year career in 2004, was a solid longstick for the Pioneers all season and finished the year with 23 groundballs and forced five turnovers.
