Men's Lacrosse to Face Hartford and Yale in Connecticut Cup

HAMDEN, CT - Connecticut's five Division I men's lacrosse teams will come together for the first time, Sunday, Oct. 18, at Yale University in New Haven, for the Christian Prince Memorial Tournament for the Connecticut Cup. Fairfield University, the University of Hartford, Quinnipiac University, Sacred Heart University and host Yale will be featured in the five-team double-elimination tournament, with the winner receiving the First Annual Connecticut Cup. Brian Small Named Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach

Sacred Heart Director of Athletics Don Cook and head men's lacrosse coach Tom Mariano announced the hiring of Brian Small as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2009-10 season. Small joins Coach Mariano's staff after serving as an assistant lacrosse coach at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2009. [+]

Men's Lacrosse Announces 2009 Team Awards, 2010 Captains

The Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team announced their team awards for the 2009 season. In addition, head coach Tom Mariano announced that seniors Evan Morgan (Ahsburn, VA), Peter Ridge (Ellicot City, MD) and Nick Brink (Phoenix, AZ) will serve as captains for the 2009-10 season. [+]

Rushton, McDonough Participate in NEILA East-West Game

Sacred Heart's Bobby Rushton and Shawn McDonough played in the 2009 Turfer/New England Lacrosse Association East-West Senior All-Star Game Sunday at Tufts University. Rushton tallied a goal and an assist in the game, which was won by the West All-Stars, 17-11. [+]
