Men’s Lacrosse Announces Coaching Staff Changes For 2018 Season
Sacred Heart Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Jon Basti announced three changes to his coaching staff for the upcoming 2018 season. Chase Calkin has been named Coordinator of Operations, Mike Chanenchuk has been added as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator, and former Pioneer Ian Farley is the new volunteer assistant coach. Current assistant coach Erich Skelly has added recruiting coordinator to his duties.

Brian Masi Drafted By Atlanta Blaze In 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft
Sacred Heart graduating senior midfielder Brian Masi became the second SHU men’s lacrosse player in program history to be drafted in the Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft on Sunday. Masi was selected 74th overall to the Atlanta Blaze.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced the rosters for the 2010 NEILA Turfer East/West All-Star Game. The game will be played at 4:00 pm at Endicott College on Sunday, June 6.

Timmy Katz Named Scholar All-American by USILA
FAIRFIELD, CT – Senior attack Timmy Katz (Freeport, NY) became the third member for the Sacred Heart men’s lacrosse team, all-time, to earn a spot as a United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association 2010 Scholar All-American. He is the third Pioneer lacrosse player to be honored as a USILA Scholar All-American.

Four SHU Senior Lax Players Named to NEILA Scholar Athlete Team
AMHERST, MA – Sacred Heart University men’s lacrosse seniors Stephen Gerhard, Timmy Katz, Evan Morgan and Peter Ridge were all named to the 2010 Division I All-New England Senior Scholar Athlete Team by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. The Scholar Athlete Team acknowledges the graduating seniors from their respective schools, who have earned a 3.0 grade point average and have excelled on the field.

FAIRFIELD, CT - Senior attackman Timmy Katz (Freeport, NY) was selected to participate in the USILA-Lax World 2010 All-Star Game. Katz led the Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse team with 32 goals and 15 assists this season.

Senior attack Timmy Katz (Freeport, NY) was named to the Northeast Conference Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference First Team. Freshman attack Bryan Badolato (West Islip, NY) earned a spot on the NEC All-Rookie Team.

Head coach Tom Mariano has announced the team awards for the 2010 Sacred Heart University men’s lacrosse team. The Pioneers concluded the 2010 season 4-11 overall, including a thrilling 7-6 overtime victory against intrastate rival Hartford. Seniors Timmy Katz and Tom Trgo were each honored as the team’s Offensive and Defensive Most Valuable Players.
