Tuttle and Albanese Earn NEC Weekly Honors

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Max Tuttle and Nick Albanese of the Sacred Heart men's lacrosse team earned Northeast Conference Men's Lacrosse weekly honors on Monday.

Tuttle was named Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after recording 10 points against UMass and Furman. The junior midfielder had a goal and three assists last Tuesday against the Minutemen. On Saturday, Tuttle had six points on four goals and two assists in SHU's 17-13 win over Furman. Through three games this season, Tuttle has nine goals and five assists.

Albanese earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career. The senior long stick midfielder had 12 groundballs and four caused turnovers last week. In Saturday's 17-13 win over Furman, Albanese had eight groundballs and two caused turnovers while scoring his first goal of the season. 

SHU hosts Dartmouth in its home opener on Saturday, Feb. 24. The opening faceoff at Campus Field is at 4 p.m.
