Men's Lacrosse Hosts Mount St. Mary's Saturday For Senior Day

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Sacred Heart (5-8, 3-2 NEC) men's lacrosse team closes out the regular season Saturday with a 1 p.m. showdown with Mount St. Mary's (1-14, 1-4 NEC) for Senior Day.

The Pioneers had their three-game winning streak snapped last Saturday with a 21-9 loss at Saint Joseph's. With Robert Morris' loss to Bryant, Sacred Heart clinched its second consecutive berth into the Northeast Conference Tournament. The Pioneers enter the final weekend with the third seed, and a win over Mount St. Mary's would ensure a semifinal meeting with Bryant on May 1.

Prior to Saturday's game, Sacred Heart will honor the 10 seniors of the 2014 men's lacrosse senior class - Alex Miller, Seth Richard, Cody Marquis, Alec Dvoretsky, Joe Burek, Tom Horak, and captains Matt Gannon, Mike Mawdsley, Jared Carrier, and Andrew Newbold
