Game Notes -- Pioneer Hockey Travels to Rensselaer Friday

Milford, CT - The Pioneer men's ice hockey team makes its second trip to upstate New York this season, this time to Troy, to face the RPI Engineers Friday night. Sacred Heart is coming off a 4-2 win over Army Tuesday night in Milford while RPI beat Providence 3-2 last weekend. Face off at Huston Field House is set for 7:00 pm.

The Pioneer attack has been led by its top line, anchored by junior assistant captain Pierre-Luc O'Brien. He has a team high eight goals, along with 11 assists, for 19 points, tying him for second in the conference in scoring. Flanking O'Brien on one wing is sophomore Alexandre Parent who has a team high 13 assists. After recording another assist against Army, Parent is tied for second in the conference in assists and fourth in scoring. On O'Brien's other side is freshman Bear Trapp. With a goal and an assist versus Army, Trapp now has six goals and eight assists for 14 points. That mark puts him fourth in the country in points per game among rookies.
