Milford, CT - The Pioneers men's ice hockey team hosts Atlantic Hockey rival Army Tuesday night at the Milford Ice Pavilion. Sacred Heart is 6-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the conference. After beating RIT 8-5 on Sunday afternoon, the Pioneers will look to build on their momentum. Army is coming off a 2-1 win over Connecticut on Saturday in Storrs. After losing their first seven games, the Knights are unbeaten in five of their last six. Face off is set for 7:00 pm.
Sacred Heart has won 13 of the last 16 meetings with Army, including six in a row. Last year the Pioneers took all three match-ups with the Black Knights, winning twice in Milford and once in West Point. Forward Andrew Billinghurst had four goals over the three games, including both Sacred Heart goals in the Pioneers 2-1 win on the road. Overall, the Pioneers lead the series with the Black Knights 14-7.
