Two Pioneers collect Atlantic Hockey Honors

FAIRFIELD, CT (October 18) - Sophomore Pierre-Luc O'Brien (Nicolet, QC) was named Atlantic Hockey player of the week and freshman Alexandre Parent (Boisbriand, QC) recieved Atlantic Hockey rookie of the week honors after the Pioneers defeated the Army Black Knights 4-1 on Saturday evening.
O'Brien finished with a three-point night, scoring a pair of power play goals, and adding an assist on Scott Marchesi's (South Portland, ME) first career goal.
Parent collected three points of his own assisting on O'Brien's two power play tallies while also assisting on Marchesi's goal.
O'Brien, Parent and the rest of the Pioneers return to action this weekend as they play host to Atlantic Hockey opponent American International at 5:00 PM, before playing their first road conference game at Bentley in Waltham, MA at 4:00 PM.
