Hrapchak re-sign's with Thunder

WICHITA, KS (September 13) - Former Sacred Heart University defenseman Les Hrapchak has re-signed with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League (CHL). Hrapchak, who graduated in 2003, was a mainstay on the blue line for Sacred Heart, totaling 74 points during his career.

Having earned the nickname "Steady Les", Hrapchak's play earned him 2004 Thunder Defenseman Of The Year honors with a team leading +/- rating of +14.

Hrapckak is entering his second professional season. After playing briefly with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL in 2003-04, he moved on to the Thunder where he complied 29 points on five goals and 24 assists during the regular season. He would then tack on another five points in nine post-season games.
