SHU Grad Reagan To Guide Saskatchewan Hockey Squad

Fairfield, CT - The Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey have announced the hiring of fomer Pioneer student-athlete Mike Reagan as their new Head Coach and General Manager.

Reagan is a former Bomber captain, graduating from the team following the 1999-2000 season and embarking on a successful four year playing stint at Sacred Heart University. In his junior career with Flin Flon he played in a franchise record 239 games, scoring 82 goals and dishing out 127 assists. He is the fourth leading scorer in Bomber franchise history and holds the franchise record with five goals in one game.

During his Pioneer career Reagan skated in 132 games, amassing 80 points, inlcuding 36 goals and 44 assists. In his senior season, he helped lead the Pioneers to their first ever appearance in the Atlantic Hockey championship game. He graduated from SHU in the spring of 2004.

"I am very excited about the challenge of becoming the new Head Coach and GM," Reagan said. "I believe that I am up to the task at hand and look forward to bringing respect and tradition back to the Bomber organization. I believe we have a solid core of returning players and some very exciting and talented recruits. Our main focus will be to shore up our defensive unit and a strong commitment to conditioning will be installed. As a former Bomber, it feels good to be back with an organization that has already given me so much," said Reagan.

This will be Reagan's first stint as a Head Coach/General Manager. At 28, he is the SJHL's youngest serving Coach/GM.
