Men's Ice Hockey Players Receive Atlantic Hockey Post Season Awards

WAKEFIELD, MA - Sacred Heart freshman Pierre-Luc O'Brien was named Atlantic Hockey Rookie-of-the-Year and was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team after having an outstanding first season with the Pioneers. Senior Konn Hawkes and junior Garrett Larson were named to the conference Second Team.

O'Brien, a native of Nicolet, QC, scored nine goals and 12 assists in conference games this season and netted 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 total points on the season, good for third best on the team.

Larson, a native of Rycroft, AB, lead the Pioneers with 16 goals in conference play this season, including seven on the power play. He ranked second on the team in scoring this season with 18 goal and nine assists for 27 point and led the team in power play goals with eight.

Hawkes, a fifth year senior from Watrous, SK, ranked in the top ten in defensemen scoring this season with one goal and 11 assists for 12 points in Atlantic Hockey play this season. He finished the regular season with one goal and 15 assist for 16 total points.
