Ice Hockey Game Notes: Pioneers travel to face off with Army
Feb. 8, 2005
The Pioneers and the Black Knights face off for the final time of the season, making up a game originally scheduled for January 22 because of inclimate weather. Sacred Heart has won both home dates with Army and are looking for the road win to complete a season sweep. Sacred Heart also swept Army in the 2003-04 season and won two out of three in 02-03.
Last Time Out..... Sacred Heart is coming off a split weekend with the Connecticut Huskies, as both team won their ends of the home and home set. On Friday night, the Pioneers used a four-point effort by sophomore Pierre-Luc O'Brien to come from behind and beat UConn 4-3 in overtime. Freshman Alexandre Parent netted the game winner in the extra frame. The Huskies would extract revenge on their home ice, handily defeating the Pioneers 5-1 in front of the largest crowd in their arena's history.
