Sacred Heart Goalies Participate In Goalie Clinic At Wonderland of Ice

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The four goalies of the Sacred Heart men's hockey team assisted with a goalie clinic with the Wonderland Wizards Youth Hockey Association on Saturday at the Wonderland of Ice.

Alex Vazzano (Trumbull. Conn.), Andrew Bodnarchuk (Saskatoon, Sask.), Chris Paliafito (Shelbyville, Ky.) and Fredrik Melander (Uppsala, Sweden), along with goaltending coach Jared Waimon taught young goaltenders the skills and nuances of the position and went through developmental drills.

"I think it is very important to give back to our nearby local youth hockey organizations," said Sacred Heart head coach C.J. Marottolo. "For our guys to be able to share their passion and their love for the game with youth hockey players  is a wonderful thing. It is definitely a win-win for all involved."

Sacred Heart hosts Niagara for a two-game weekend series at the Milford Ice Pavilion beginning Friday, Jan. 31 at 7:05 p.m.
