Men's Golf Finishes 13th in Yale Spring Opener

New Haven, CT - Seniors Ryan Riley and Jason Reid finished tied for 48th as the Sacred Heart University men's golf team finished in 13th place out of 22 teams in the Yale University Men's Spring Open over the weekend. Connecticut won the event, with Binghamton finishing second and Yale third.

The Pioneers were in 11th place after the first day of competition, but were 14 strokes worse on the second day to drop into 13th. Riley had one of the best rounds of the day on the first day, but ballooned to an 87 on the second.

Sacred Heart was one of five Northeast Conference schools participating in the event. Central Connecticut finished seventh, Wagner 10th, Quinnipiac 16th and Fairleigh Dickinson 18th.
