NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 5, 2008) - The Sacred Heart men's golf team had three golfers finish in the top-15 as they finished fourth overall at the Yale University MacDonald Cup Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers shot a three-round score of 872, just one stroke behind Bryant in third and four behind host Yale for second. The University of Oklahoma won the event with a score of 860.

Senior Patrick Fillian (Tinton Falls, NJ) was the Pioneers top-finisher, taking home his second top-10 of the season with a seventh place finish, shooting a 215 (69-73-73) at the Yale Golf Course.

Fellow senior Matt Belizze (North Salem, NY) finished tied for ninth overall shooting a 75 on Sunday to total a three round score of 217 (68-74-75). Freshman Leopoldo Garcia (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) recorded a 12th place finish with a 219 (70-72-77).

Senior Kevin Lauretti (Newington, CT) rounded out the SHU top-four with a 29th place finish, shooting 226 (73-74-79).
