Sacred Heart sophomore Tom Campbell (Wall, NJ) finished second at the ECAC Championships at the Tunxis Plantation Golf Course in Farmington, Connecticut Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers finished 10th overall in the 10 team field.
Campbell finished day one with an even-par 72 that left him tied for ninth in the overall individual standings. Campbell came back on day two and fired a four-under 68, four strokes off the low score of the day and five back of the tournament leader.
Monmouth's Anthony Campanile came away with the individual title as well as leading his team to the championship. Campanile shot 71-64 for a two round score of 135 (-7). Monmouth won the title with a team score of 575, three strokes better than Dartmouth.
Freshman Matthew Belizze (North Salem, NY) shot 78 on day two and finished with a two round score of 150 (72-78).
The Pioneers are back in action next weekend at the Yale McDonald Cup.
