Full Quinnipiac Invitational Results

WALLINGFORD, CT (September 30, 2005) - The Sacred Heart men's golf team took part in the Quinnipiac Bobcat Invitational at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Connecticut Friday afternoon in their final tune-up before the ECAC Championship tomorrow and Sunday. The Pioneers finished 4th in the five team field.

Sophomore Tom Campbell (Wall, NJ) continued his fast start to 2005 by firing a two-over 74 on the par 72 course. His score left him tied for 6th overall after the 18-hole tournament.

Freshman Kevin Lauretti (Newington, CT) and sophomore David Polchinski (Staten, Island, NY) both tied for 13th overall with matching 79 scores while freshman Matthew Belizze (North Salem, NY) was 15th with an 80.

The Pioneers finished with a team score of 312, one stroke behind Boston University in third. The Fairfield University Stags took the team title with a score of 293. Fairfield's Rob Tarallo, Quinnipiac's Craig Cyr and UConn's Daniel White all tied for the individual title with even-par 72's.

The ECAC Championship will take place at the Tunxis Plantation Golf Course in Farmington, Connecticut on Saturday and Sunday.
