FARMINGDALE, NY - Sophomore Adam Petrasovic (Tecumseh, Ontario) fired a one-ovee 141 over 36 holes on Friday to sit in 12th place and help the Sacred Heart men's golf team to 13th place overall at The McLaughlin hosted by St. John's University at the Bathpage Red Course.

Host St. John's and the University of West Florida lead the 18-team field at four under par. Johnson & Wales of Florida is third at +8, followed by Jacksonville State and Seton Hall at +12. SHU was itied for 8th place after the first 18 holes, but shot seven strokes higher in the last 18 to slip to 13th. They are just one shot behind Temple in 12th, and only five shots from moving into the top ten.

Kyle Scott of West Florida leads the individual race with an impressive eight-under 132 on the par 70 course. Dave Tobon of Johnson & Wales is his closest follower at minus four.

After Petrasovic, junior Pat Fillian was the next lowest Pioneer finisher at +7. Tommy Campbell was just a shot behind at +8, while junior Kevin Lauretti (Newington, CT) is at +10.
