Men's Golf Completes First Round at The McLaughlin

FARMINGDALE, NY - Freshman Josh Salah (Gloucester, MA) fired a two-over 72 but the Pioneer men's golf team finds itself in 16th place at the conclusion of the opening round of The McLaughlin Tournament hosted by St. John's at Bethpage Red on Long Island.
The Pioneer total of 295, however, is just a shot behind four teams in front of them and only five shots out of ninth place. UNC-Wilmington leads the tournament with a 275 total, followed by Johnson & Wales of Florida at 278 and Towson at 279.
Sophomore Leo Garcia and junior Dave Renski each finished with four-over 74's, followed by a 75 from freshman Andrew Strom.
The final round begins tomorrow morning.
